Burgundy
Our Premium Burgundy Selection
Welcome to Peter Solberg’s curated selection of Burgundy wine, showcasing one of the most respected and terroir-driven regions in the world. Burgundy is defined by precision, tradition and an unparalleled connection between vineyard and wine. From the limestone-rich slopes of the Côte d’Or to the historic villages that shape its identity, this collection reflects the depth and diversity that make Burgundy wine so highly regarded.
Our range spans both the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, alongside selected wines from Chablis and the Mâconnais. These areas are home to some of the most expressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay ever produced. Whether you are drawn to subtle, mineral-driven whites or elegant, aromatic reds with structure and finesse, our Burgundy wine selection offers something for both emerging enthusiasts and experienced collectors.
Regional character
Burgundy is built on the idea that place matters above all else. Small vineyard parcels, known as climats, reflect differences in soil, exposure and microclimate with remarkable clarity. This results in wines that are nuanced, layered and highly expressive, even when produced from the same grape variety. Burgundy wine is less about power and more about balance, texture and purity.
Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits often delivers red fruit, floral notes and subtle earthiness, while expressions from the Côte de Beaune can show slightly more structure and depth. Chardonnay ranges from the steely, mineral style of Chablis to the richer, more rounded profiles found in Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. This diversity allows Burgundy wine to offer a wide spectrum of styles within a relatively compact region.
Aging potential and collectability
Many Burgundy wines are crafted to evolve gracefully over time. With careful winemaking and strong natural acidity, these wines can develop remarkable complexity in the cellar. As they mature, they often gain depth, savoury nuance and a silky texture that defines mature Burgundy wine.
Our selection includes bottles from respected producers such as Domaine Faiveley, Joseph Drouhin, Louis Jadot and Domaine Leflaive, alongside smaller estates known for their commitment to quality and terroir expression. Whether you are looking to enjoy a bottle now or add to a long-term collection, these Burgundy wines are chosen for their balance, authenticity and aging potential.
