Almaviva

The best of two worlds

Almaviva combines the best of both worlds by blending classic Bordeaux grape varieties, with Cabernet Sauvignon taking the lead. This wine represents a harmonious meeting of two cultures.
Chile provides the rich soil, ideal climate, and exceptional vineyards, while France brings its expert winemaking techniques and deep-rooted traditions.
The result is a wine of exceptional elegance and complexity. Almaviva's introduction marked a significant milestone in the evolution of Chilean wines, making a lasting impact both locally and on the international stage.

The Almaviva

Terroir

Nestled in the highest part of Maipo Valley in Chile's central region, Puente Alto has been recognized for over twenty years as an ideal location for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon. Here, 60 hectares are dedicated exclusively to producing Almaviva.
Puente Alto's unique soils play a crucial role in the wine's quality. The rocky, nutrient-poor soils feature a mix of loamy clay up to 50 centimeters deep, with sandy loam, gravel, and rocks beneath. These alluvial soils provide excellent drainage and contribute to the wine's minerality and lower pH levels, resulting in exceptional balance, elegance, and quality.
