"Starting with the entry level 2016 Irrosso from Casanova di Neri, it offers a spicy, complex, medium-bodied style as well as notes of black cherries, saddle leather, green herbs, and cedar. With good acidity, a solid herbal kick, and a clean finish, it's a juicy, easygoing Sangiovese to enjoy over the coming 4-6 years. The blend is 80% Sangiovese and the final 20% a mix of Colorino, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot."
