Coming from Isabel Sabon of Domaine de la Janasse and sourced from the sandy soils of la Crau, Font du Loup, and la Janasse, the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape is 100% Grenache that was partially destemmed and aged 12 months in foudre and demi-muids. It shows mulled red and black fruits, loamy earth, savory Provençal garrigue, and pepper on the nose. Medium-bodied, with a pure, focused, elegant mouthfeel, it has ripe tannins and a beautiful finish. Already complex, nuanced, and expressive, it will evolve gracefully over the coming 15+ years. Drink 2025-2040.
