Tasted as a final blend, the 2023 Côte Rôtie is all Syrah that was not destemmed and is resting in a mix of used barrels, Burgundy barrels, and demi-muids. Riper than the 2024, with a sexy opulence in its red, blue, and black fruits as well as roasted herbs, graphite, and peppery, gamey nuances, it's medium to full-bodied and delivers a pure, layered mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and a great finish. This ripe, pure, layered beauty has a slightly more sun-kissed style compared to the 2024 and will have 20-25 years of prime drinking. Drink 2028-2048. By Jeb Dunnuck February 2026
