Hosanna 2016 (75 CL)
96/100 Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider. Tasted: Jul 2022. A text-book, rich, full-bodied Pomerol here with all of its multiple layers of rich, velvety-textured, black cherries, plums, dark chocolate, espresso, and wet earth. Still primary, but the wealth of fruit, ripe, polished, tannins, and opulent nature allows you to enjoy it now, even though its best days are clearly in the future. Drink from 2026-2055.

The 2016 Hosanna is composed of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Medium garnet-purple colored, it comes spilling out of the glass with the most beautiful floral perfume of lilacs and lavender over a core of black and red cherries, black raspberries and cedar chest plus hints of tobacco and chocolate mint. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is elegantly styled with beautiful floral and cherry layers framed by velvety tannins, finishing long and fragrant. (LP, 10/2018)
