The 2022 Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Spätlese is clear, deep and complex on the dense and savory nose that shows lemon zest aromas. Rich and lush yet also refined on the palate, this is a very elegant, textured and savory, saline as well as grippy Spätlese with mouth-filling fruit and mineral tension and a good, fresh and savory finish. 7.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 12 23 in January 2025.

The 2022 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese was made without botrytis. This is surprisingly open with tart citrus, flashing with Meyer lemon. The palate is concentrated and sprayed with Mirabelle jelly, not opulent but measured. Serene, rounded, smooth, resonant with a lovely edge of Mirabelle and peach skin.
