Kammern Ried Grub 1ÖTW 2019 (75CL)

The 2019 Kammern Ried Grub 1ÖTW opens with a radiant, coolish and flinty bouquet of crushed stones, ripe pears, oregano and sage leaves. Full-bodied, round and intense on the palate, this is a very elegant, salty-mineral, tightly structured, finely tannic and gorgeously juicy Veltliner with great balance, calmness and elegance but also mineral tension and grip. The finish is very long and reveals concentrated, super clear and elegant fruit. An absolutely impressive wine from a sheer loess terroir that might contain some elements of mica schist and active chalk. 13.5% alcohol. Tasted at Schloss Gobelsburg in June 2021.(SR, 12/2021)
