Massolino has added a few terrific new Barbarescos to its lineup. The 2019 Barbaresco Albesani is one of these. With fruit from a 0.6-hectare growing site at a warm 230 meters in elevation, the wine shows broad knitting and dark fruit nuances of blackcurrant and cherry. There is spice, toast and mineral at the back. This is a 4,000-bottle production. (ML 6/2022))
