The 2019 Dolcetto d'Alba focuses tightly on raw fruit, with forest berries and redcurrants. There are some secondary notes of bramble and rosemary essence, and you might pick up a subtle tone of crushed stone or aspirin. In all, this is a classic, albeit informal expression of Dolcetto to pair with an antipasto misto with cold cuts and local cheeses. (ML 6/2021)
