Bourgogne Rouge 2018

Unfurling in the glass with aromas of dark berries, baking chocolate, licorice and spices, the 2018 Bourgogne Rouge is medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a layered core of fruit framed by rich, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully chewy finish. Less supple and immediate than its 2019 counterpart, it will really sing with five or more years of bottle aging. (WK, 3/2022)
