Saint-Aubin Clos du Meix Blanc 2022 (75 CL)

The 2022 Saint-Aubin Clos de Meix 1er Cru comes from hard limestone soils. It has hints of lemon rind, wet stone and flint on the correct and quite penetrating nose. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity, but it eases off too soon on the finish, which feels conservative compared to others. Maybe it has a trick up its sleeve? It's a bit out-paced in the current line-up. (NM, 10/2024)
