Ried Gaisberg Strass Kamptal Reserve 2019 (75 CL)

Fermented in new large oak casks and racked after four months to age until June on the fine lees in stainless steel, the 2019 Gobelsburg Ried Spiegel Reserve displays an intense golden-yellow color and opens with a deep, rich, beautifully complex, spicy-flinty bouquet of perfectly ripe and elegant fruit aromas. Round and intense on the palate yet with crystalline, vivacious acidity and great elegance, this is a structured Veltliner with intense and juicy fruit, remarkable calmness and a stimulatingly phenolic finish. This is a great and distinctive Spiegel on the 1er cru level. 13.5% alcohol. Tasted at Schloss Gobelsburg in June 2021. (SR, 12/2021)
