The 2022 Riesling Saarburger Schonfels Grosses Gewächs is still very shy, holding back on everything apart from a sense of yeast. The palate, however, opens with a salty tone, bedded on textured yeastiness, soon showing glimpses of citrus juiciness. This is immensely zesty and salty on the finish, not plunging into fruit, keeping its cards close to its chest, yet with a graceful structure. (Bone-dry)
